    Are Magnets Safe?

Hi there! I just replaced the thermo/hydrometers in Fírnen’s glass enclosure, and I had a question about them. The back of each thermo/hydrometer is magnetic, so I used a couple of strong magnets to attach them to the glass. Here’s a picture of one of them:

Is there any way that Fírnen could injure himself with them? Maybe pinching himself with the magnets? Thanks for your replies in advance.

I would think they'd be quite safe, much better than the stick-on kinds. I don't foresee a snake getting pinched...even if he pushed hard against this, I think it will
only just slide around & be a little crooked. I think it's a good idea, actually.

    Re: Are Magnets Safe?

I've done magnets for geckos and while searching for strong enough ones, my weaker ones tended to just let it fall off when pushed on instead of sliding around. So I think the worst you might have happen is the thermometer falling down if the magnets shift away from each other enough when moved.

But I can't really see any way that it could pinch or otherwise be an issue. Those thermometers don't weigh that much either, so falling a few inches is probably no big deal anyway.
