How to set up ambient heat in tub?

Hi! As my baby ball python still hasn’t eaten and he now seems hungry but stressed (lots of activity trying to get out) (my temps and humidity is good) I am now considering moving him into a tub as that’s what he was kept in at the breeder. At the moment I am using a CHE on thermostat for ambient temps and UTH on thermostat for hot side. Wondering what is the best to use in a tub to get ambient temps up? Our house does tend to get pretty cold at night around 65-70 degrees and with the glass tank hasn’t been a problem since I have it insulated. Any ideas for how to heat up the ambient temperatures would be greatly appreciated ! Also what size tub would be a good starter for a 250 gram baby BP? I want it to be small enough to where he can feel very secure...

anyway! Look forward to your responses

I don't use tubs but from what I have read you can only use an UTH and you need to use the temp in your room for ambient heat. So you have to turn your house temp up to 82.

Re: How to set up ambient heat in tub?

Why can’t you use anything else? I have used a CHE along with a heat mat with a tub for almost a year. I have it on a lamp stand above the tub. I hot glued a piece of screen into the hole I cut in the tub lid. I haven’t had any problems.
