Good for ball pythons?
Opinions on whether this substrate might work with a ball python and Mexican black kingsnake?

To me it looks like any number of coco coir beddings marketed for reptiles, but I would proceed with caution if you choose to use it.
My experience using garden store products for bedding has been that it is much cheaper, but I have found everything from sharp metal shards to broken glass in various mulches that I use with my tortoises. Not to mention the Cypress mulch typically has other woods mixed in, compared to the stuff marketed for critters that appears more 'pure'. For the snakes I currently use Reptile Prime and have been very satisfied with it.
If you give it a shot, let us know what you find! It may be a simple, inexpensive alternative for people using pet store coco coir bricks.

On a separate note, I have found similar things in bags of planting soil (glass bits, shards of metal, etc.) So I would definitely use caution. Best of luck.

I currently use Reptile Prime and ReptiChip. But, with the price being good on this one, figured maybe I'd give it a try. Wasn't sure if it might be too fine. I guess cheap enough to buy and try (after inspecting for "extras" in the stuff). Will definitely advise on my results if I get it.
Thanks.
