    Moving stress

So I've just moved my corn into a new viv! Any ways to reduce stress as she's had quite a big size upgrade!? She has only been in there a few hours and she's currently buried under the substrate in one of the corners on the cool side!

    Re: Moving stress

hey friend! i just moved my adult male corn into a 40gal; more space than he's ever had in his life!

IMO corns are pretty stress-free animals. granted i've never dealt with a baby corn (mine was surrendered to me as an adult) but i think that's a fair assessment.

burrowing is totally normal behavior. first thing my corn did in his new viv was burrow and recreate his "tunnel system" from his old viv.

smaller, identical hides will help. the one you have in the photo looks big; i have the same brand of hide myself.

    EDIT: photo

Looks to me like your little corn has plenty of places to hide or burrow...I wouldn't worry about it...just give her some time. She'll probably be all over it later.

if she likes and uses that hide then i wouldn't worry; she'll be just fine.
