Question Help a researching girl out

I am doing research into my first reptile ever, a ball (royal) python. I have a tank, and many of the supplies, but I am in need of some morph information.
My husband likes the darker colours, and I don’t mind them at all, so I am looking into darker morphs.
The problem I have encountered is that I do not know enough about bp genetics to know what is the best morph for me. I know that the Spider gene can create a wobble and some feeding issues, but I don’t know if spider is in the darker bp’s or if they have different issues I should be aware of. I would like a bp without issues, as this will be my first and I want some experience before possibly getting something that takes more finesse to deal with.
    Thanks for all the help!
Researching for my first Ball python,
Any help, tricks or hints are appreciated,
    Charleen

Get something with cinnamon in it or black pastel. spider is not a colour mutation it's a pattern mutation

A couple great places to look around are: www.morphmarket.com and www.worldofballpythons.com/morphs

These two sites will help educate you on what morph names look like what. Once you've narrowed down what you like, you can visit: www.owalreptiles.com/issues.php

That site will tell you what, if any, issues exist with a certain morph (as far as is known)
