A couple of balls and a Bredli

Had Buffy and Cher out yesterday for some cage maintenance. I also got some okay shots of Zelda the other night, which is rather difficult because she's pretty active.

    WOW!

Nice, I like the coloring on the royals.

The Bredli is awesome and also one of two snakes I'd love to add here.

    Congrats.

Thanks! Just need Sunny in there to have shots of all my yellow sunshine snakes lol.
I have absolutely loved having our Bredli. When we got her in October she was an absolutely massive 38 grams. In all seriousness, she was so slender that I was worried she'd have trouble eating. But she's an absolute garbage disposal, a joy to handle, and fun to watch. She's already up to about 102 grams and is starting to get some red flecks coming in.
In other words, you should get one!

    Good stuff,

Ha I am maxed out here with 4. My last was a SD X Dwarf X small percent mainland cross. He's enough to keep me more busy than the royal, coastal and boa constrictor combined.

Somewhat of a jackass he is, but also very, very active and great to watch in a display cage. He's extremely arboreal even at about 9 feet long.

Your collection looks great and will look better over time.

I hope you set that Bredli up for some semi arboreal activity within the cage.

Carpets are really nice display animals too!

How does your bredli handle? Mine is about a year old and around 250 grams (can't get a good weight cuz she's so squirmy). But she does not handle well at all! She fights me to get her out of her tub and then always strikes at least one time. After a few minutes she calms down but still very skittish and flighty. I'm hoping this calms down over time

Mine can/could be a little difficult to get out of her cage depending on what she was wrapped around. But she hasn't been nippy at all. One of my favorite snakes. She definitely liked to move, but they seemed like pretty purposeful movements. Really hoping I find her soon!

I forgot to reply to this with all of the drama of Zelda escaping! Yes, we definitely have some climbing structures in her tank. Right now some sturdy fake plants and a jungle tree that she loves. When they're large enough, I would love to set up the Bredli and our other two in arboreal cages - I'm thinking AP A20s, maybe A25s if I can make 3 of those work in the space. How big do you think they should be before making the upgrade? I'm wondering if I would have to get them slightly smaller setups, maybe 2x2's, until they're ready for the big ones? I appreciate your insight!
