New Platinum Tiger FRP, SunTiger Het Albino MRP next week

Just got my new (first) female reticulated python (Platinum Tiger). She's a beauty, born on August 1st of last year, and three feet long. I will initially have a 55 gallon vivarium for her. She has been very active in it and loves to bask under the heat lamp. And (thank God) she eats FT prey (rats). I got her via Morph Market, she was hatched by Reptile Klung in Baton Rouge, LA.

On Tuesday I am receiving a SunTiger Het Albino from Metcalf Reptiles in Norfolk, NE (also Morph Market). Born on May 7, 2017, he'll be two soon. He's four feet long and two pounds. And he looks like is golden yellow, it is absolutely intense.

I would appreciate any and all advice on husbandry and other RP needs. I'm a new owner but a experienced user as I have owned BP for five years, and I am huge on bioactive habitats. Thank you -

I don't keep retics so I can't offer much advice on their care but congrats and best wishes with the new critters. Share pics when you can.

I've had my retics now for right at 2 years, I would keep the cages simple unless you've planning on a zoo sized display "room" for them. Mine are on a mix of eco earth and cypress with a mix of some real and fake plants, I swear every time I open the door I'm throwing out parts of the plants. They're big, strong, very active and make big messes. The cages look good but are harder to keep up on and I don't think the snakes care what the inside looks like as long as the food keeps showing up. It's also very hard to not get complacent if your snakes are well behaved, don't get lulled into a false sense of security.
