Omg I saw those Peter's Banded Skinks at a show recently and I wanted them! However, they were all imports. Not knowing their status in the wild, and I don't breed, I could not in good conscience get one. I wanted to so badly though. Are yours captive bred? The vendor said no one had been able to breed them yet but I am hoping someone may have some success eventually.

My weekend has been busy: babysitting, spending time with family, tutoring my niece, and going to an annual pet expo in a few hours. Going to take our 9 year old lab mix with us like we do every year. She will have a blast. Plus errands and chores. I don't want to adult today lol.

so...mine are WC. i have heard two people have been able to breed them but i am still trying to track those folks down. i plan on getting 2 females and a male (hopefully, i don't even think they can be properly sexed yet) and plan on studying their behavior and eventually trying to breed them. i have been doing a lot of research but there isn't too much out there.

we took our dog to a dog park today, hadn't been there before. he walked around for 5 minutes and was over it LOL

    Nothing much here...

I finished setting up my RB 4x2 cage and getting everything dialed in for our new addition to the family. Going to a local expo. on the 8th to pick up (hopefully) a BEL, if not, it'll definitely be something that slithers.

Glad you are feeling better! Hope they gave you something better!

I did some shopping: I bought 500 lbs. of rodent blocks, 250 lbs. of corn, and 80 lbs. of cat food. The girl at the desk at the grain store was new and asked what I "had"---when I said 'rodents' I had to repeat my order request like five times because she seemed dazed and unresponsive for at least an entire minute. I was quite amused.

    Re: your weekend

Sorry to hear about the bad reaction, but glad you are feeling better.

Yesterday we had synchronized pooping, so lots of cage cleaning. Went out to a classic car cruise-in and dinner with friends for Saturday night. Today has been pretty quiet, laundry, reading assignment for work, and a short visit with a friend who’s downsizing in preparation for her end of April move out of state. While reading I did set out on the porch since it was a beautiful day. Not exciting by most people’s standards, but enjoyable to me.

I feel ya with the hospitals.. been fighting a mystery illness for a month and ended up in the ER last night. Long story short, it's either a non functional gall bladder and or severe stomach ulcers. More doctors and tests to follow... good times are had by all.
