Re: My New Baby Corn
I can ALREADY tell that corn snakes move around a lot more than ball pythons!
She ( my corn ) has already moved around to different spots in her enclosure more than my ball python does in 2 weeks time, unless its close to feeding day. Lol. She does now, come above ground from the Aspen bedding more than she has the past couple of days.....I I'm so excited to have her I just want her to hurry up and grow grow grow

Patience, she'll get there. I know that as hatchlings, corn & other rat snakes are skinny little tykes that are hard to hang onto, but their activity & ease of care makes
them worth the wait. They're cool to watch, even when too small to pick up much...and for anyone that is afraid of a snake bite, the teeth of a corn snake are too tiny to
feel like anything more than sandpaper...and by the time they grow a little bigger, they're tame & very unlikely to bite.

Re: My New Baby Corn
Just heard back from my corn snakes breeder and he said she hatched mid September 2018. That's funny because her in my ball python are the same age! Both are 6 mos old. Now that's pretty cool !

She definitely looks big enough to be a summer 2018 baby. My July 2017 corn was about 45 grams in March last year; picture of him on a cutting mat that has inch markings for scale.

New baby corn ate!
IDK where my previous post is on my new corn so sorry to start another BUT she at tonight! Just got her on the 13th and tried offering food on 16th with no luck. She ate and swollowed in record time. Much faster than my BP but she did not waste time constricting.

Perfect! Gets easier from here on... Some snakes eat faster than others, don't be overly concerned; she'll feel a lot braver after she gets a few meals done.
