Thank you. She seems so "fragile" compared to my BP, LoL!
I will just be relieved when she eats. I know I offered food too soon she's only been here a couple of days so I'm going to give her a few more days and offer it again

They are tiny compared to the bp hatchlings. I bred corns a few times years ago. The first clutch that hatched was just incredible. Cute, snappy, and pink (snow corns). I mostly had larger snakes at the time, predominantly boas. They looked like worms in comparison. lol

They really feel fragile when they're super tiny babies. I got my corn first, so my second snake, an adult male BP, felt HUGE by comparison. I imagine it is even weirder going in reverse. They're a lot more resilient than their size makes it seem as far as trying to jump off tables or out of the cage goes (not so much on squishing I'm sure). Mine made a kamikaze leap off my hands at 10g and dropped 4 feet or so to the carpet below and wasn't even phased (he just tried to slither off under some tables and boxes the little dork).

I know I made that same "mistake" of offering food sooner than I should, but mine proved to be a ravenous baby. He took a pinky from me off tongs the evening after I got him from the expo. (Pickup Saturday, ate Sunday evening) He is still a more ravenous eater at a year and a half old than either of my kingsnakes.

I'd wait 5 days from the offer to try again, though, in case she happens to be more shy or nervous than the average the extra time will help her settle. She's looks to be a good weight in the picture, so a it certainly won't hurt her.

It takes them time to build confidence.

Solana, my Scaleless Sunglow Motley Red-Factor Corn snake was 8G when I got her. Only 2 months old.

She would devour pinkies at that size, but only if I put in front of her hide and walked away.

Now, and soon after we got her - maybe 5 feedings in - she started grabbing the food off the tongs. She's about 90G now, almost 1 year old, and she begs for food, just like her brother (Hypo-Lavender Adult Male) corn snake.

Give her some time, but also, don't be afraid to leave a f/t food item in there for a bit and leave her alone to see if she eats.

Next time I offer food how long is it safe to leave? I was thinking in a few days to offer it in the evening and leave it overnight, is that okay? And I probably should leave it on the floor of the warm side???

Is that where she spends the most time, the warm side? If you leave it there, it spoils faster. Overnight is fine, but not warmed (at least not right over/under the heat).
