And that's exactly why I used to rescue/re-locate snakes when I lived in the So. Calif. desert: so people wouldn't get hurt trying to remove or kill the snake,
and especially to find the snake a safer place to hang out. At least, being a nurse, he was able to get medical help for his bite quickly...glad it worked out OK.
Sounds like their location is very prone to snakes wandering in...good thing it was a younger healthy person that sustained the bite & not a patient.
