Heavier water bowl

Can anyone recommend a heavier water bowl? My mystic ghost is spilling water everywhere which is making the humidity really high. I have the petsmart brand one now. Thanks!

Have you tried thrift stores? I've gotten some terrific bowls (cheap!) that are great for snakes, with flat bottoms that won't tip. Not usually pet bowls, btw-
and I've been known to raid my own kitchen too, for a glass casserole or a vintage mint-green mixing bowl that my snakes are now enjoying. Just look thru
where they sell mis-matched dishes & baking dishes. Moving & Garage sales might also have suitable dishes, but I do far better in thrift stores because they
have a lot more stuff all in one place.

In past years I had some bowls, very heavy stoneware/ceramic that were made for pets...the kind that are sort of peanut-butter color on the outside, very
thick sides, and blue interiors (they were kinda pricey I think, & made in various sizes)...but honestly, I like my current glass bowls much better. One of my
snakes even has a very fancy salad bowl (make to look like expensive cut crystal) but I'm quite sure he's not impressed, lol. (it was only a buck or so)

I use Dollar Store melamine cat and dog bowls. They are cheap ($1) and the base is wider than the top so they don't get tipped easily.

It’s never actually tipped over. I don’t really understand how he does it. There’s just always water all around it.

Probably soaking in it when you aren't looking, making it over-flow..."sneaky sneks"!

I guess so. Maybe all I need is a taller bowl. Is too much humidity going to hurt them? Ive heard mixed opinions on that.

IF he's soaking...are you SURE there's no mites???

Maybe a larger bowl is what you need...don't fill it so full & it won't over-flow. Sometimes my big Florida rat snakes like a bath (they're the ones with the biggest bowls)
and & have to laugh, they'll totally submerge with just their nose at the surface.

Hard to answer about "excess humidity"-?

Then you may have a crack somewhere in your bowl. This is especially more common with cheap ceramic bowls or plastic bowls (After long use). I had litter boxes and pans, and ceramic dog bowls leaking but I could never find the source. The dog bowls came from Dollar Tree. It was better to toss it out and get a new one.

Bowls meant for people use last much longer or ceramic or glass bowls sold for cats.

It's not always about heavy they can be light too but the base has to be right

I mean not 100% sure as I’ve never seen them but I don’t see any little black dots and I’ve never seen him soak either.
