    How often...

How often should you completely clean a glass tank out. I spot clean it but I want to know when should we clean the entire bedding out and replace it? I've had the same bedding for approximately month and a half now.

    Thanks.

Depends on your substrate. Some spit clean better than others.

I do a thorough cleaning every 4 months or so, kinda just when it "needs it". Once the substrate is getting thin because of all the spot cleans taking out a little at a time, I do a full clean.

I would do a complete cage cleaning (taking everything out and disinfecting with something like F10SC) monthly. When you spot clean, you do not get it all. With high humidity that BP's need, it's a breeding ground for bacteria.

EDIT: Craig makes a good point. If you have a good substrate, and an appropriate layer depth, and the tank is large enough, you can do it less frequently.

I do mine bi monthly. But I check the tank daily so I’m on top of my spot cleans too. I clean the water bowl pretty much daily too

We use ReptiCarpet and it's very easy to spot clean. I spot clean 1-2 times/day (usually only have poops and urates maybe twice a week). We have two sets of carpets for each tank, so they get washed out in F10 and swapped as needed. We do a full tank clean (glass, hides, etc) and disinfect once a month.
