    Double feeding juvenile bp

    hi,

I have a juvenile bp and I would like to know if double feeding ( bp ate two live mice two hours apart) consist of longer digestive process? in other words, will my bp need more than 1-2 days to digest? I would like to know for handling purposes.

If anyone would like to know, my bp is a female

    thank you

    Re: Double feeding juvenile bp

I was told female bps grow bigger than males, in which they must eat more.
is this information accurate? I dont know, but curiousity allowed me to see if my bp will consume another mice and so she did.

now, if this information is inaccurate please let me know, I feed her one live hopper mice once a week, and today was her first time eat two.

They eat a little more... when they are bigger than a Male. If you have mice that are smaller than a meal should be then you can feed multiple.

Males and females should still eat a meal proportionate to their size. You want to aim for 10-15% of the snakes body weight for juveniles. You want they prey item to leave a small but noticeable lump in the snakes stomach.

Females do GET bigger, but no need to feed them any differently than males until they outgrow the males.

Just one last fact, over feeding can greatly reduce the lifespan of your snake.
