    Smile Meet Rosa and Charley

Just finished setting up my vivariums for my BP's. Both have heating rocks, UV, and a heating pad on the far end. Mix of tropical plants and moss. There is a thin layer of sphagnum moss under the substrate. Substrate is mostly coco coir, with tropical leaf litter and sphagnum moss and repti-bark mixed into the top 2", plus a mix of springtails and isopods.

The female phantom is Rosa. She lives in the 55 gallon vivarium with the big plastic castle. Her water is inside the castle. She actually likes to go up onto the castle during the day, at night she's in the cork bark hide. She is very active in the evening! She loves to explore and will use her heated rock only intermittently.

The male pastel is Charley. He lives in the 26 gallon vivarium. His water is in the cave mounted on the wall. At night he will go into his hardwood half log hide. He is only active when the lights are out.

I'd appreciate any advice, and help. Thank you!

Loose the heat rock, they are notorious for burning snakes. The castle too needs to go, they will out grow it quickly and the holes they have cause serious risk for getting stuck.

Are the BPs getting any heat? That substrate is really thick, UTHs don't heat through lots of material. Do you have the UTHs or heat rocks on thermostats? Is the uv light also heating?
