Single / multiple gene advice
I had to get rid of some of my collection of Ball pythons, so what I managed to do was sell many of my single gene ball python males. The only single gene male I have left is an ultramel, and currently I'm in the process of buying an enchi gravel and a scaleless head.
I want to give some advice to future breeders, try not to buy any single gene males unless its the higher end ones. I say this because it'll take you twice as long to get to your multi gene goals as far as future babies go. Please also remember for many of us being a breeder/seller as a main source of income won't be a reality. I'm not saying it cant be done but do not put all your eggs in one basket and things don't turn out as hoped. When I got back into ball pythons last June I was buying every single gene male I seen (check my posts on here for proof of that lol). That was a bad idea because one, they can't lay any eggs and two, depending upon what gene they are the resale value is very low for anyone who knows ball pythons.
Even though I had to get rid of many of my snakes, the lesson I learned is that less snakes with multiple genes means more pairing combos can be made.
I'm really excited to try to make some ultramel orange dream spiders, and some scaleless BELs or highways

I have said it for YEARS if you do not have a plan you will fail.
Having a solid plan and knowing the market is essential no matter where you want to be in this industry whether it's to have a collection to pay for itself, have a little extra income or make a living. Lacking those basics will put you in the red financially very quick.
