Ball python not eating

Hello my ball python female is about 950g and was a weekly eater and she’s about 1y7m old and 3 weeks ago I never offered food due to her being in shed so a week later after the shed I offered food and no takers so today the 3rd week no food and she refused it. She seems happy rest of the time. Even before her light goes out she knows it about to happen and start heading out and then once light goes out she will tap and push at the glass and watch me and follow me around the room till I get her out every night and this is common for her after shed. Should I be worried or just monitor Weight and offer food at a reduced rate ?

IF everything husbandry wise checks out and you have already tried to switch things around, than all you can do is wait it out. It's pretty common for BP to stop feeding when they are about 1000 grams, we call this the wall and it can last a while.

You can , try feeding every two weeks and use the now famous ‘hairdryer’ method

Yes how I have always fed her is the night before I get the rat out and wrap in kitchen roll and leave it over night. In the day I hairdry the rat to warm it up and then use long tongs take the rat in where she’s waiting for it. Now she’s look like she’s waiting for it sees it and goes back in uninterested.

is it ok to handle her every night then she’s pushing and taping on window?

I would probably try to handle your snake a little less for the time being and try to give your snake a peacefull enviroment with the right temps & humidity. also know that alot of ball pythons go off food sometimes and they can go a long time without food! just monitor that your snake doesn’t get too skinny, if he’s getting extremely skinny i would definitely check with a good vet if there’s a medical reason why he’s not eating.
This is not very related to your snake not eating but just a thought i had; I don’t know what kind of setup you have but you could try if adding some enrichment to his enclosure will help with the tapping/pushing on the glass. my snake really enjoys climbing for example (i use oak sticks thick enough to support the snake’s weight and before putting the stick(s) in the terrarium i bake it in the oven to get rid of any insects)
