    Venting

I recently was made to move out of my home and had to move back in with my family. They aren't fond of animals and feel that snakes are not real pets so I was told to get rid of them. Specifically to release the snakes in the woods. Didn't do that, of course. I found someone from the Wildlife Center to take them. Idk. I'm gutted. My family is fully aware of how long I wanted snakes, and pets in general, and just immediately told me to ditch them and that "being an adult means making difficult decisions and sacrifice". I don't think using a person's pet to teach life lessons is appropriate but what do I know? My indoor-only pets have been outside in the rain and freezing temperatures because "cats are gross. they walk in their litter boxes and then all over your house." I'm trying my best to get us out of this situation and not make my family too angry by being upset about it all.

I dunno if I understand you right but your cats are outside in the freezing rainy weather?

This is just me but I wouldn't live with my family if they told me to get rid of my animals and had my cats outside. Oh hell to the no! Nope nope nope. Then I would never speak to them again. People who are not nice to animals are no friends of mine. Says a lot about people's character.

Yeah. It's warmer today so that's good at least.

Well it's either that or be homeless and unable to feed them. I'm trying to find a job so that I can get out as soon as possible.
