Red stomach after shed
Hello! I went on vacation for 2 weeks and to my knowledge his humidity was kept okay and his heat mat is usually around 88. He wasn't handled at all during that time and had a full shed with no issues. But i noticed in his poop that it was light brown and almost like a large pellet. Should i be worried about digestive issues or impaction? I was worried about his heat mat at first and after some research I'm also scared his substrate caused it, so I'm switching him out to paper towel tomorrow morning. Taking any advice before i go to a vet!

Re: Red stomach after shed
Not sure what you were using for a substrate, but, the photos to me look like irritation due the snake laying too long in overly moist substrate/maybe his own urates.
Since you were away for 2 weeks: it would not be a surprise.
As you suggested I would keep him on paper towels: dry and clean, but allow him to soak if he feels the need.
Also: I wouldn't handle the snake as the area is probably uncomfortable.

How are you measuring the temperature of the heat mat? You should be taking the temperature inside the cage with substrate temporarily pushed aside
& directly over the mat where the snake could have contacted the most heat....NOT relying on what a probe/thermostat underneath says it is. This looks
to me like it might be a 'burn'...not sure as I've never had any snakes burned by UTH, but the area on him also looks dehydrated as well. A vet might be a
good idea...either way a topical (prescription) ointment might be a good idea. His stool sounds normal from description- color can vary. You didn't mention
what substrate you're using? I suppose this could also be irritation from overly damp substrate too...uncomfortable for sure, whatever it is.

Re: Red stomach after shed
That looks like a burn. Be sure to check the temp of your hot spot.
