Am I just “over worrying”?
I have several BP’s so I know that snakes sometimes just do what they want when they want, but a couple weeks ago I got a boa, and that thing hasn’t peed or pooped yet. He’s eaten twice no issues, and there is always clean water availble. He’s acting fine, but I thought I would have at least found a urate by now. Why do they insist on worrying me? Do boas do the same thing as my bp’s do and hold everything in when they are getting ready to shed and then leave a nice present wrapped up in their shed?

Sometimes they'll take a few weeks to pee and even months to poop, depending on the size and species of the snake. I'm sure he'll give you some pee and poo soon. Haha
My green tree python poops about once every 3 months.

Re: Am I just “over worrying”?
Boas have a slower metabolism than bp. So I wouldn't worry too much, unless you see them seriously backed up(sausage butt) ,then often a nice soak in Luke warm water soon cures that, but like already said, depends the age and size of food given, often if it's small they tend to use it all up, and a long as they eating and drinking, things are all good,
Welcome to the boa club, there great

If it helps to ease your mind, my Borneo STP has only pooped 4 times in the 13 months I've had him.
As long as there's no noticeable backup near the vent you're fine. And like Richard said, a short bath will typically help empty them out if the sausage butt appears.

Re: Am I just “over worrying”?
My 11month old Suriname Boa only poops like every two months. Worried me at first but then folks told me that he was fine. Less cleaning is okay in my book haha

Re: Am I just “over worrying”?
She’s just a baby eating hoppers right now. No sausage butt yet. Thank y’all so much. I am a perpetual over worrier. I figured 2 weeks was no big deal but it really helps to hear from y’all!

I predict there will come a day when you'll wish she wasn't "decorating her cage"... so enjoy it while it lasts!

Have you tried demonstrating it for her so she knows how to do it?
JK
If you feed it, poop will come.

She’s 84 grams. She’s a sharp albino jungle and she is tiny! If you hold her up to the light you can almost see her last meal! It’s working it’s way down to the real business end of the snake!
