Fogger for my retic:-)
Hey all, just wanted to share my experience with my new reptizoo fogger, I'm very happy with it so far and it was only £40.
I recently lost a dog and decided in the aftermath that I only needed one snake, one I would have more time to care for to a higher standard. After much thought I decided to let my boas go and just keep hector my SD retic.
Obviously I then I needed only 1 Viv, no brainer, kept my nicest largest (my 5*2*2) Viv that the boas lived in.
The average humidity in that Viv was 45-50%, the boas did fine but the retic needs much higher humidity or he looks crusty.
I was soon getting fed up spraying the tank twice a day for 5min for it to only drop back to 50% in half an hour.
So I bought the fogger, I couldn't be happier with it. The fogger itself can push humidity to 90% in 5min on the highest setting.
I have it set at about 10% power and on a timer plug to go off every three hours for an hour. This keeps humidity around 70% all day every day. All I have to do it fill the tank every two days which takes 20 seconds.
Hector is looking fantastic, no more crusty scales and my life is much easier. Hope this helps others.

Re: Fogger for my retic:-)
I have found that them having a swimming area takes care of all my humidity issues. As a result I have no issues with humidity. I tried a fogger when Rainbow was younger and found it scared her. That was a year ago.

Yeah I have a 14"x14"x3.5" deep zoom med corner bowl, it's in the hot end near the 300w che and it doesn't do anything really.
Depends on setup I guess.
Hector's never looked better tho, working for me;-)

Looks good, I like your setup.
I mist now and then and also have a big water bowl. That said I consider a fogger from time to time.
I like the look they bring to the Viv.
I think adding a little jungle fog to this would look pretty neat!

Thanks pal, it does look great. I think for the price it's definitely worth a go if you want a nice reliable humidity and the added aesthetic bonus.

Re: Fogger for my retic:-)
Guessing was just Rainbow that did not like it. She would actually hiss at it. I stopped after the 3 or 4th time. Never did it again.

Re: Fogger for my retic:-)
I've used some ultrasonic foggers in the past, used to use humidifiers and pipe them
into cages too. Weren't the most effective means of keeping humidity up in Arizona but they did help. The look of the fog slowly rolling through a naturalistic setup looked so cool I couldn't care less if it helped or not haha. I've still got a big apple herp high pressure misting system that hasn't been used since 2006 sitting in my garage I keep thinking about setting up on the retic cages.

This particular model, found on eBay, is amazingly powerful. I have no doubt it could pull a 10*3 Viv up to 100%.
