Anyone out there with really good photography tips for snakes?
Snakes are good to keep the in-laws out of your house
0.1.0 Ball Python
1.0.0 Butter Corn Snake
0.0.1 Leopard Spotted Tortoise
6 Hermit crabs
5 sickly cats!!!!
...and a partridge in a pear tree!!! (ok, I know that was retarded)
experiment with different settings (exposure,aperture,shutterspeed,flash)
take a lot of shots
if your camera has a bracketing feature that is good to use or try.
the lights are a very important part of getting good shots. different types of lights throw different color casts into pictures. reg. household light bulbs throw a yellow tint, flourescent lights throw a greenish tint.
i use powercompact bulbs that screw into a reg. socket, they are put into clamp light fixtures. the bulbs are balanced for daylight. i got mine at walmart but there are ones made for photo use at triple the cost. most of the time i use a black or white background, this can be as simple as a sheet or piece of foamboard or as fancy as photo canvas. just experiment and take alot of pics to choose from.
a few pics i had in my gallery for example, i'd call these average shots.
