DIY incubator build / breakdown
For anyone looking to build an incubator, have a back up, or in the market for a new one, I put together a video detailing a DIY incubator. I've been using this specific incubator for roughly 5 years. Feel free to ask questions to something I may have missed or overlooked.

Re: DIY incubator build / breakdown
I just glanced at your video real quick: Looks good.
I would place water bottles on top of the heat tape to store thermal energy so you reheat faster after doing an egg check/harvest.

Typically if I have 6+ clutches, the water inside the egg boxes is plenty, but water bottles do help!

Really cool thread, and probably a good way to go if you're on a budget, which I can definitely appreciate.
How many seasons of clutches have you put through there, and how well has it been working for you?

I have two of these incubators, and I typically get 12-18 clutches per year. Depending on when the females lay, I usually only use one, but I do have both running. I've had around 60-70 clutches go through this one, and I've only lost a couple eggs here and there.
It's been working great. I tend to do a lot of DIY style builds because I like the idea of building something specifically for my needs and the accessable parts / items.
