    Yes, be careful not to accidentally "cook" it, and also maybe squish it a little to ensure it has been thawed all the way through! Would be yucky to bite into frozen middle part of steak, huh?

    Something similar to this, according to prey size!. With jumbo mice they usually just need a few hours at room temp (around four hours minimum). Once they’re room temp a gentle squeeze to make sure they’re not cold in the center, and a quick blast with a hair dryer.

    I defrost in the fridge. I put the prey in there the night before feeding to make sure its completely thawed the next day. Then I heat it up in hot water for 20 minutes before offering it.
