Post shed question

My 4/5mo old just finished his first shed since I've had him, it was a perfect shed so I'm just a very proud snake mama and wanna keep it but it's all dirty from the substrate (I use eco earth) and he dropped a huge duty right next to it and I was wondering if I could gently rinse it off with only water if it would ruin it?

I've rinced them before u just have to be super careful cuz the water softens it and it rips easily. Good luck!

It's pretty common for them to poop when they shed. Almost every time my BPs shed it ends up being a big ball of wet shed wrapped around a big turd. I just throw them away. I don't see this with the boas though. Mine always seem to have dry sheds.

I wouldn't save any sheds that are contaminated with snake-poo...rinsing off isn't going to remove the germs you'll be handling. Wait for a clean shed.

The poop wasnt on the shed, just next to it lol, but it's still dirty from the substrate

The poop was just next to it, the only thing dirty on the actual shed itself is dirt from the substrate. Lol

Would you suggest warm water or cool water? Or does the temp of the water even make a difference in preventing rips?

I used luke warm water cuz I'm a sissy and don't like cold water and I thought hot water would soften it more (I could be wrong). Main thing is make sure the water pressure is super low. And be very careful if your trying to save it in one piece.
