if im being honest i dont know yet, the vendor i got them from at a show recommended them to me and he said their name a few times and it slipped my mind, but i emailed him and asked again. otherwise i know he gave me some ball moss that i threw in there!

yes, they are. but there’s different species that are bigger/smaller and are interested in eating different things. theyre what make it bioactive, they breakdown all the waste created and return it back to the soil

eventually when I get my blood boa I plan on making a bioactive setup, but I have heard it takes awhile before it is fully functional

only about a month or so being that its not an animal that will eat the CUC, alls it takes to maintain is some salad/veggie scraps to feed them until they get goin, theres a couple really good helpful facebook groups that i went to: Reptile and Amphibians bioactive setups and the other one is Advancing Herpetological Husbandry. you could actually start the enclosure now and itll be ready for whenever you get your snake.
