    Leaves and branches

So I have been looking for ideas to help clutter my bps terrarium up with and I saw one that had big leaves and branches in them. But I saw you shouldn’t use things from out side is there a method to make leaves and branches I found outside safe for my ball python.

    Re: Leaves and branches

For the branches you have to bake them for 45 mins at 200 degrees. I might be a little wrong on time and temperature but u can Google it and it'll say for sure. U basically have to make sure than any possible parasites are completely dead before introducing it into your snakes habitat. I did it with 3 branches and haven't had any issues. As far as leaves go I wouldn't use outside leaves unless ur doin a bio terrarium because they'll die and crumble. Fake leaves are better because they stay green. Good luck!

I bake branches for at least an hour, usually two hours, at 200 degrees.

Don't waste your time with leaves. As for leaves, craft stores often have fake plants much cheaper than pet stores. Just be careful about any metal wires poking out or any adhesives.
