    I could never feed anything live to anything

    I get where you're coming from, JellyBean. I love rats. I'm actually a vegetarian as well. Thankfully I've never had to feed live rodents, but I would if I had to.

    I'm curious, what would you do if your BP suddenly went on a fast that would only be broken by feeding live? I've heard that happen a lot of times.

    The fact is that snakes eat rats, often live. Our "pet" snakes have only been trained to accept them dead. In the end it's whatever's best for our snakes, and preferably what's easiest for the keeper to sustain their snakes with.

    I admit I'm having a bit of a hard time telling too, considering there has been members in the past who have anthropomorphized their snakes pretty badly.
