Hahaha, good to know I am not the only one who has done that before (hit a deer and then put it out of its misery and loaded it up in my truck). But hillbilly or not my friend, it was free meat that kept my freezer stocked for ages.

Isn't anyone worried about disease in rodents/rabbits that are found by the side of the road? Seems to me, this is a risky practice.

Re: Waste not ...want not....
I'd be worried about parasites as well.
Charming though, really.
Oh I didn't realise the snake was originally wild.. as long as it'll be returned to the wild I guess the parasites won't harm it anyway.

Agreed....it is a risky practice.....but since she is imprinted on wild items I have to find her wild items....I just make sure they are healthy and there is no chance they can get to poison etc.
