Not quite yet. More like 30, lol. I think I will try to breed 7 different species in the future though, just to keep the name relevant.

Still waiting on the Black Pastel to drop her eggs, but in the meantime here's an update on the Mojave:

    There she goes!

Happy Easter guys! Can't believe she laid today. Great timing, right?

Four big eggs and one slug.

The four healthy eggs came in at 528g and the female is at 1500g. Not bad for her first clutch.

Update: So the Mojave girl has her pre-lay shed on 5/7. Unfortunately I couldn't get a good picture because she wouldn't hold still.

Remember when I said I thought my Western Hognose girl might have ovulated back in January? I think she was just building. She didn't lay anything until yesterday. I was surprised to find a few eggs in her egg box last night and she laid a few more between then and this morning.

I think they may all be slugs, but I'm not sure. Each one she lays looks a little better than the last, but none of them look like the white, round, healthy eggs I've seen other breeders produce. They're all in the incubator for now, but one of the older ones is starting to mold.

    Here's the rest:

She laid them sporadically over several days and then left a bunch in the lay box last night. I think they're all slugs, with maybe one boob egg, but I'm keeping them all in the incubator for now.

Update: so the Western Hognose "eggs" all turned out to be slugs. I had to chuck them. But my mojave girl finally laid today!

She gave me 8 beautiful eggs.

She was bred to an enchi pied, so I'm hoping for some mochi hets.

First clutch is out! I'm kinda sad I missed on a pied, but I'll probaby try again next year. At least I got some awesome looking black pastel enchis.

Update! So I did get a few good western hognose eggs back in July:

They're in the incubator now, and my mojave girl's eggs hatched!

Pretty great, huh? All eight babies are healthy and slithering around. I'm thinking the mochi will have to stay with me.

Update: the three good hognose eggs are hatching! One came out a few days ago, and the other two came out today.

    I'm so happy with them.

Oh man those little guys are so cute! It's almost like they are all head with a tail lol. I may have to get one some day. Congrats on all your clutches!
