    Wild Iguanas

    I was able to snap a couple of pictures of wild iguanas while I was in Puerto Rico last week. Wish I had time to see more.

    Wow... That last photo looks pretty high up...did he actually jump from there?

    There are lots of iguanas in south florida, I've seen them jump out of tall palm trees. They are pretty tough animals

    It was actually a hole in that concrete wall that was about a foot deep. The hole was probably 6 feet off the ground so I’m not sure how he got up there!

    I was wondering how he got there too...looks too slippery to climb up, & I doubt that he went down from above...surely he didn't back INTO the hole?
    It must be a drainage hole that starts above somewhere that he thought looked like a good place to hide...?

    Yeah that’s the only thing I can figure. The walls make up a drainage ditch that goes out into the ocean so I’m sure there are lots of tunnels down there.
