FWC(FLorida) (Hognose) (Slightly Confused)
So Here I am I do want to get a Hognose and possible a Boa(Red-Tail though this is a bit away as I will have to do a DIY enclosure and there price tag is a bit high, I also want my first clutch of Python babies first)
As for the Hognose my main topic do I need a permit for you fellow Hognose owners? As I guess they a typically referred to as "Mildly Venomous." So do I need a class 1 or 2? Or none at all their site is rather crappily smashed together on top of a plate of poop.
On another note is their a particular reason for Reticulated to need a license while Boa's do not O.o.

I don't live in FL, but my understanding is that retics need a license due to the possibility of becoming invasive (just like burms).
You will need a license to sell if you are planning on breeding BPs anyway (FL has actually done "sting" operations trying to catch people just selling a pet off CL and similar services without permits). I can't remember what the permit is called though.
Hopefully, a FL member will see you post soon and be of more help.
Currently keeping:
1.0 BCA 1.0 BCI
1.0 CA BCI 1.1 BCLs
0.1 BRB 1.2 KSBs
1.0 Carpet 0.5 BPs
0.2 cresteds 1.2 gargs
1.0 Leachie 0.0.1 BTS

Oof okay I think I found it though they certainly make it fairly vague. Still need help on the Hognose though for other people passing by!

I can't speak for FL, but in MA (a fairly strict state as far as venomous pets is concerned) there is no permit required to keep hognose. Rear fanged species like hognose and mangroves aren't classified as venomous.
I could be mistaken here, but I believe Eastern hognose are native to FL, so may not be legal to keep. However, I'm assuming you're talking about Western hognose since they're the far more common species in the pet trade.
And since hognose aren't a threat to the invasive snake population, like burms and retics are, I would think no permits are required. But, again, I could be wrong.

Maybe because the site is so terrible but According to it it is alright. :\
There is nothing about colubrids I could find they try and go animal by animal(Which seems rather...terrible.
But there was nothing on hognose that I could find.
As there site states if the animal is not listed as CI or CII(Class 1-2) then it is Class 3(Which is easiest to get and only requires me to submit an application and I believe, write a disaster plan.)
Thanks for the feedback guys. Rather sad that FWC has such a crappy website, SHould of just gone and bought a Wix hosted site lol.
