    hognose enclosure decorating

so im getting a 24x12x12 enclosure for my male hoggy, already know im gonna need plenty of hides, but for substrate i was either going to use aspen snake bedding or terra sahara from the bio dude. i was considering using leaf litter, i also want to use to some branches for climbing (i know hognoses arent arboreal but enjoy climbing sometimes) does anyone know a good place to get said branches? i already have rocks covered. also the bio dude has a western hognose bioactive kit that comes with substrate, sphag moss, leaf litter, fork flats, and 2 succulents and ive been wondering if its worth it. (its $85 for a ten gal and i think itd work bc my enclosure would be a 15 gal)

my other side question is do you guys think mice would do okay in the freezer portion of a mini fridge?

I really don't like aspen, but I do use it in my hognose enclosure. He burrows like crazy. I tried coco but he seems to do better with aspen.

I have a small exo terra cave style hide that I put in his enclosure figuring maybe he'd use it, maybe not...but he definitely uses it regularly. But from what I've read of hognose, they usually don't use them.

I also have small branches in his enclosure and he uses them all the time too.
I just grabbed some clean branches from my yard. I bake them in the oven at 200 for about 90-120 minutes. It kills off any parasites and can actually make the house smell nice.

im not sure what is in this terra sahara to be quite frank, ive heard good things about it though! i used to have a bearded dragon so i took the little super worm containers that id get from pet stores and cut them in half and used those as hides.

really unfortunate thing is we just cut down all of our trees so i no longer have branches LOL but i did hear about baking before already.

EDIT: pics of your enclosure pls? i wanna see what itd look like with aspen.
