    M.giganteus

This is Zelda. She was wild caught as a baby for a study on sexual dimorphism on the species. I took her in once the study was completed. She has been a great addition!

It's a vinegaroon! Also known as a whip scorpion. Basically a scorpion without the venom. I'm not super into creepy crawlies (too many legs for me lol) but those are pretty tight

Officially jealous and now I won't be able to stop myself from endless hours of searching for any information I can get on them. Internet rabbit hole here I come.

Thanks everyone! Not a scorpion at all actually! They're an awesome species, non venomous completely. When threatened, they spray an acid that smells like vinegar, though she has never sprayed. But I have witnessed it from wild ones where I live in New Mexico. She is super docile, and a really cool critter to watch! I highly recommend them as pets. Next on my list is the tailless whip scorpion, related but different. Also called the Harry Potter bug http://entnemdept.ufl.edu/creatures/...p_scorpion.htm
