Noodle's new toy
Thanks to Bogertophis for this idea! Noodle has always been a climber and one of her favorite things to do as a baby was to curl herself up amongst the artificial leaves of her enclosure. She's too heavy to do that now. So Bogertrophis had shared about putting baskets high up in the rat snake cages. I looked for a couple of weeks for a suitable basket and finally just cut a hole in a cardboard box and stuck it up there. I put some pieces of paper towel in there to make it more cozy. Well Noodle loves it!

That looks good...except:
I wouldn't leave that tape in there. Tape + reptiles = very dangerous!!

Okay I found a new box that had less tape, removed it, and just closed it by folding the flaps over each other, cut a hole, and she's in it right now. :-)
I'll keep an eye out for baskets, but so far I have not found anything that's the right size.

It's funny how fast they decide they love & accept "this new thing" to hide in...you got the "seal of approval" pretty fast. (boxes are fine too)

I've used short sections of PVC pipe as suspended hides. The snakes like them and they're easy to clean.

BTW, open-ended cardboard tubes work also, you just have to attach them to something. Like the rolls that come out of gift-wrap. It's good for snakes to have
things to explore...it's like snakey-pre-school. (if your snake is more terrestrial, they work just as well in the substrate too)
