Re: Need a name for my new blood python

I often go with names from books I’m reading or mythology (Greek seems to be my latest trend...Artemis, Orion, Selene). Along the lines of Bogertophis’ suggestion, you could also look at Vlad.

Any photos of your new guy?

"Opposite" names are fun too. When I took in a feisty-bitey BCI many years ago as a rescue that scared off all previous owners, I named her "Snookems" to
remind me to see her as the scared snake that she really was. And you know what? She grew into a real "Snookems", never even one bite in all the years
I had her...nothing but a sweet cuddle-monster. And a name that's on the "sweet" side actually works better for me, since my snakes are used to meet &
greet the public...when I told people her name, they giggled, & I've found that laughter helps people relax & lose some fear of snakes. So I don't personally
ever give mine names from the darkside...snakes already have enough bad PR without adding any.

I sometimes use name dictionaries to find uncommon names for mine, names with meanings I like.

I'd go with "Cash" if he was my snake. Named after the Man in Black, Johnny Cash.
