You know what, you are absolutely right !!!!!!! I never noticed that before, but there it is. Maybe that's why I like it so much. That, and the melancholy and slowed down beat of it..

Zina, I actually thought 'your' song sounded like the Simple Minds oddly enough ..

    Oh jeez, Zincubus.

Thanks for making me cry right after I put my make up on...

The scene at the Vet, I still can't watch something like that. When I had to put my soul-dog Vic down, the best German Shepherd ever, our guardian during many years alone in a to me foreign country, it was simply one of the hardest thing I went through.

I thought I was prepared for the day, I told myself I wouldn't be like those other people that break down and scare their pets in their final moments. I would be strong for my boy.

When it happened, it all seemed to go so fast, and when the Vet said those words I literally broke down into a million pieces. I had a bad cold and couldn't breathe well as it was, but then I was sobbing so hard, I thought I would literally choke on my tears.

I did hold him. My eyes were inches from his and I watched the life go out of them.

Its been 6 years now, but when I see scenes like in this video, I'm transported right back in time.

But now the good memories outweigh the sorrow. And there is Shadow, another German Shepherd and well loved. But Vic did leave a hole in my heart.

It IS a great song, though, resonated in me in quite a few ways.

    Thank you for sharing.

I did have reservations about adding it ... I cried myself .. at the same part .. I initially wondered why they chose such a sad topic but then the story took an upturn and it kinda made sense ...

I've spent the last moments with two huge Irish Red Setters and a little Sheltie Shetland Sheep dog .. and they all came back ..

Irish Setters are such regal dogs !! I love their coloring in the sunshine, they just glitter, and in a sunset they explode in rich color
    Beautiful dogs !

Here is Vic as a little one

    and in his prime

and as my dear old boy

the spot he is laying down ...that is where he is buried. He loved to lay right there.

his memorial right by his grave

It is a good song and a great video, although a bit sad. It just hit a nerve. I was also not the popular girl at school. Skinny, when voluptuous was "in". Looking way younger, when it wasn't cool to look younger. Nope, def. not in the popular crowd.

When I see kids like that now, I wish I could make them understand how much all this won't matter one day.
