Sharing my grandpa's story of Battle of Chosin Reservoir, Korean War

I am very close to my grandpa who is now 95 years old. He shared his story with me and I just made a short booklet about his experiences. It's pretty incredible! It is my family's Christmas gift this year to that side of the family, and I want to share this gift of history with you all here, too.

“I was there. And I was glad I was there.”

That's absolutely fascinating to read through !!

I struggle to read through loads of text but I found it intriguing..

I think I noticed one little typo that threw me slightly but I guess that's nothing to be concerned about ..

I remember listening to radio news reports of the fighting in Korea when I was a kid. Great account! Many thanks!

Hagaru-ri was several times spelled Hagarur-i. There were other misspelled Korean names, so run the whole thing through a spellchecker.

Yeah those names were a challenge. I found them spelled different ways and just picked one and went with it. I'll check those again. Thanks!

Edited to add- I found a few more typos. I have looked at it a lot but it it helps to take a break and look again. :-)

It's maybe more of a missing word or something rather than a spelling error .

I maybe wrong of course being dyslexic/ Aspergers but ...it's on page 9 .. right in the middle of the page .. something about levelling a field for a aircraft landing strip ??
    It's around ..
" so the one on the fields "

I’m so glad I checked in this evening, what a special treat. Thank you Sun!

I never could cotton to history books, too dry and boring. But this first hand story, now THAT’S history! How interestingly enjoyable.

Please thank your Grandfather for his service for me.
The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.
