I can't believe this is happening and i'm actually super excited!!

one of my fav movies ever is getting a remake! The Lion King!

i must admit i was skeptical and kinda upset about a remake at first b/c the original is practically perfect. but the ensemble cast and the return of Hans Zimmer (!) and Elton John (!!) to score and James Earl Jones (!!!) has got me convinced!

    behold...

    aaahhhh! my heart!!

I was skeptical too, cause the original is just soooo....damn....good!!!

I watched the trailer last week and it surprisingly convinced to give it a watch.
I feel like it can't BEAT the original, but I'm betting it'll still be great.

...and how freaking cute is the CGI version of young Simba?!?!?!?

I just watched the teaser, & it does look good...admittedly I didn't see the first, but I might make a point of seeing this one, so thanks!

I was also skeptical, but still definitely going to see it!

The 2D animated Lion King is my favorite film ever made, live action and animation included! I've actually probably watched it at least 100 times in my lifetime and probably can recite 90% of the script by heart. lol

One thing that is annoying is how many people are calling this the "live action version", when it's in fact, 100% animated in cg by artists and animators. The first one was just animated in 2d.

I think the person doing this also did the newer Jungle Book, which is a movie our family really enjoys. I'm really excited to take my kids to see this.
