Don’t we all need just one more?

That is a stunning snake...what type of rat snake? I’m not as familiar with them as there isn’t much of a selection in this area other than corn morphs and the occasional grey rat snake.

Weeellllll dang...I feel like an idgit. LOL I figured he/she was just ‘a beauty’...which is true.

I’d love to see some of these in person, but maybe it’s a good thing there isn’t much variety at the local shows lately. I’d need another snake room!

I used to raise Taiwan Beauty rat snakes...they ARE beautiful & they can get quite large (9' in some cases), coupled with being fairly active snakes. When
raised from hatchlings, they are nice to handle (without bites). They feed eagerly on f/t rodents. There's a recent thread here about a Blue Beauty rat snake...
these are very close cousins. I cannot imagine trying to handle a wild one! Fortunately these are easily captive-bred, & hatchlings are quite large. They are
semi-arboreal, so a huge cage with branches (or trees ) would be really awesome. Maybe you could convert your bathroom...you don't really need that do ya?
    LOL

I saw the post on the Blue Beauty, and that is one pretty snake. And I see that true to form on this site, in no way are you trying to dissuade me from increasing my collection. LOL

In all seriousness, I’m looking to add another ball python when the weather breaks early next year. Weather is starting to get unpredictable now, so I would be hesitant to have her shipped. Sunday and Monday were both near 65F for the highs, today 40’s, tomorrow possible snow flurries.
