Opinions on predatory mites?
So, recently I have purchased some Taurrus predatory mites which are supposed to eliminate snake mites. I have given up on mite sprays as it is such a long process and the mites usually come back again in my experience. Have never used these before and I'm curious if they actually do the job... If anyone has any tips, past experiences or opinions on predatory mites it would be great :)

I've heard briefly about them but no experience with: I'd be very cautious about trying them, to be honest. And I don't see why they couldn't "miss a few"
in the same way that the conventional treatments to kill mites do? I can't think of any predators that hit ALL of their targets actually, can you? Because then
they'd perish for lack of food...they'd be out of a job, so to speak. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan of "chemical attacks" either, so I hope you get good results.

I agree - there's no reason why predatory mites wouldn't be able to 'miss a few' and I hope it goes well too for my snake's sake 😁

I see you already purchased the predatory mites, but just wondering what spray and treatment process did you try?
When I had some mites, using PAM as instructed and with tips from people on this forum, it eliminated them completely.

Re: Opinions on predatory mites?
I’m curious for the predatory mites, love the to do that when bringing in a new snake to quarantine. Or if in the event there is a mite issue. I need to do my research on them. I understand they target regular mites and such but what it the affect on humans.

I used the callingtons mite spray and regular treatment process - it does work, however I didn't repeat the treatment for 5 weeks which is necessary. The spray does not eliminate the eggs, so when they hatched, I was not still treating her as I thought they were gone already - instructions said repeat 2-3 times not 5

Re: Opinions on predatory mites?
Update - the predatory mites have been in the terrarium 3 days. There are a few dead mites on the floor (not sure which type) and I am not sure if they have worked. She has some black dots on her and although they are probably snake mites, they could be predatory mites? I don't know. Recently she hasn't been soaking in her water bowl much though so hope fully the situation has improved...
