    Double Het Question

Can someone explain to me the advantage of using a double het when breeding? Is it done for financial purposes? I see a few of them on morph market for sale but most cost as much or more than a visual so it has me confused.

They're more valuable because you get a shot at a double recessive visual depending what you put it to.

    Re: Double Het Question

I should have explained what I meant better. Say a double het axanthic. I get why someone would want something that is het for two different traits, but why double for one trait?

Laziness is nothing more than the habit of resting before you get tired.

So breeding a double het to a normal produces visuals as well as hets?

There's no such thing as a double het of the same genet if it has a double het it's a visual it's not a double

Gotcha! Now I see where my confusion came from. The “double” didn’t click until I actually read their ads on mm. They all have a second trait that I wasn’t taking the time to read. Nothing more to see here, move along! Lol thanks!

    Re: Double Het Question

Well I usually only open ads on mm that I can actually afford. Most dh snakes don’t fall into that category! But hey, you don’t know something until you ask. Thankfully the reptile community is pretty receptive to newcomers.
