    Symptoms of intestinal bacterial infection?

Maybe you have spoken with the OP before.. I haven’t read anything about his snake not gaining weight.
I also do not know if he is a new snake owner as his post about the smell sounded as if he is new to this. I still hate the Urate smell I consider fishy... I find it comparable to a Dog with a impacted anal gland that drags their butt on the floor, Disgusting.

Thank you everyone. I will watch him for now and if he shows any other symptoms I will definitely take him to the vet.

The smell isn’t that strong, I was mostly concerned about the fishy smell. Now that he’s on aspen I don’t smell anything so it’s not like it’s an overwhelming smell. And he is gaining weight at a normal rate.

My response (about snake being underweight) was to distaff, sorry, I should have quoted also. (post #6)

If stool is unusually nasty smelling (to someone experienced with keeping snakes) it's worth considering a check, but especially if the snake doesn't gain weight.

Also if stool has a lot of mucus, or a tinge of blood, that's another reason to get it checked out.
