Is Cypress Mulch alone good for a BP?

So I'm in a bit of a budget, but I know that some people mix substrates. I was wondering if it was a good idea to use Cypress mulch alone in a 30 gal glass tank with a BP?

    Thanks :D

I haven’t used it in a tank, but cypress is what I used to use in my Vision cages. It worked well for me in my setup. It wouldn’t hurt to try it alone, just keep an eye on the humidity levels. If you haven’t already, you’ll probably need to cover a good portion of the screen top.

I use cypress mulch alone and I’m pretty happy with it
