No love for snow at all from me...
I get that. Were that my situation I'd probably share your opinion.
For me, a snow storm means a possible day off. And to be perfectly honest, I'd much prefer to shovel snow than to go to work.
I'm still very young though (only 40!), so we'll see how I feel in another 10 or 20 years.

I guess getting snowed or iced in can be possible here, but currently in Fort Worth, TX it's like 70 and sunny, but earlier this week our high was like 40 and the low was high 20's/low teens. This states weather makes no sense.

I’m not far ahead of you Craig...47. Thanks to some injuries in my 20’s, my knee and shoulder are much more accurate than a meteorologist for cold wet weather. Cortizone shots can really suck, but at least they give some relief for a little while. Here’s wishing you relief from the pain and the snow.

Thanks for the well-wishes!!!
My knees are a mess too. I just had a second surgery on one a few months ago. Luckily, the cortisone is helping the other...for now...but I've got screws in both (along with a metal rod running through my tibia from knee to ankle and screws in my thumb, mostly hockey injuries).
But it's inevitable I'll need the other knee done eventually, as well as replacements in both. I'm really hoping to avoid shoulder surgery though. Knee surgery these days is a breeze (I had my first 25 years ago and what a difference in medical advancements!!!) but I understand shoulder surgery will be a whole lot tougher.
You're so right about predicting the weather. I usually know 24 hours or more before a storm is coming, especially during colder months.

Ouch...you really do have some reasons to hate the cold and wet. Luckily I haven’t had to have any surgery yet. Arthritis in the knee I injured for at least the past 5 years. The surgeries are better these days, but I don’t think any of us want any more of those than necessary. As for shoulder surgery, a good friend had to have his done and it did not seem like fun, but it’s been a whole lot better since he did it. Word of advise, follow through with all of the physical therapy, it really does make a difference.

Yeah, I beat myself up pretty well through the years. Arthritis is no fun either. I always thought that was an "old people" thing....yet I've got it in my shoulder, knees and hands and all before 40.
And you're so right about PT, it makes a world of difference

Trust me, if not for my grandfather still going strong at 98 and my neice and nephew (4 and 1 years old) I would already be gone.
Once Pepere passes and the kids are a bit older Uncle Craig will be moving South.

(For those of you unfamiliar with the big bread phenomenon in the South, if snow if forecasted we all go buy bread, lots of it, cause you never know, we could be "snowed in" for a whole day, maybe two!)
Also Skyrivers, what part of the great state are you posting from? I'm a DFW area transplant myself, but I've been here 21 years and don't plan on leaving anytime soon.
I thought I would jump in and comment! I use to live in Dallas Texas for 27 years, until moving back to Toronto Canada, which has been 10 yrs ago now. Let me just say that I can remember one year living in Texas when we had a major ice storm and I was driving home from work. Everyone on the road went totally crazy thinking the ice was like rain on the roads but when they tried to stop to brake they would slide right into the car in front of them or off into a ditch...And its pretty funny seeing a pickup truck trying to drive on ice...!!! Anyways I can admit that since moving back to Canada that I am NOT a fan of the winters here, but since all of my family is here it is way worth it and I just grin and bare the horrible 3-4 months of the white stuff!!!
