    Those aren’t chocolate chips... COOKIE!

Sooooo, a day I was hoping never happened is...

My newly acquired carpet python has mites ... :/

I noticed her begin soaking about 5 days ago. She is due for a shed so I didn’t pay much attention.

I tried to feed her on Monday and she has been eating 2 pretty items. Usually with ease an quick. It took her a bit and she took the first one but refused the second. Yesterday I took her out rubbed her down w paper towels and sure enough I found a few mites.

Now she’s in a different house in an area with only one other snake that was moved there and to a new cage.

I decide to try the frontline treatment. I’ve watched a few videos and a helpful moderator here was very insightful on it and I appreciate the post to begin with and the help.

Have to report the good with that bad around here. It’s the only way anyone ever learns. I will let you all know how she does and what the results are and maybe it can and will help another down the line.

I think she was sent to me with eggs embedded or just a few and now they are hatching I had her on paper the first few weeks and saw nothing until this week.
