However, Zina and Zincubus, I believe I remember you two using PVC caging. What do you think about this "PVC safety" stuff?
No sorry ... only wood or glass vivariums ..

Well I for sure thought it was the plastic plants.. but sure enough the smell came back! So I did what you said and purchased new hides from RBI. Currently just using cereal boxes as hides till the new ones get here. Now without the hides in, the smell is gone again. Crossing fingers the RBI hides will solve it!
You said you use AP as well? Do your snakes ever lodge their heads in between the crack of the glass door and PVC itself? Worrisome?

If the smell is gone its the hides. Send those back. Call LLL. I was pissed they sold a cheap hide calling it RBI. The RBI hide sides go strait up and down |—| where the junk ones tapered in at about a 45 dergee angle to the top. /—\
A small Ball can on the Right sides... only 1 of mine did that. I just cut out a 1/2” peice of foam insulation board for the one side. Here is a Pic. Bottom enclosure has the Insulation board. You could run it as a L for side and Bottom i just did the top too.

If it isn’t too much trouble, would you mind showing a close up of the foam you’re talking about? Maybe walk me through what you did. I’m not sure what I am looking at. I appreciate it!

...heres a Close up. The Silver stuff is called insulation board from Home Depot or Lowe’s, it comes in sheets around 2‘ x 4‘. I just measured the inside Upown and Left:Right then used a ruler to make the lines and Cut it with a razor knife. Depending on what enclosure you get the up-and-down height will be different, mines 24” tall by 4’ long. So i went around 20” up and 20” Left. This sits behind glass in the track so the snake can’t get between the lip and the glass

Mine does this all the time - also only on the right side of course. Luckily snakes aren't the smartest and I just hang a dark towel over the right side of the cage - he then moves to the left side and window surfs until he decides to go back into a hide or climb his sticks instead. He wedges at both top and bottom if his "curtain" is not down.
I like the foam board idea, but can you still open the left side with that in? I've toyed with putting something there, but didn't want to remove access to the left side of the cage.
No cage is too large - nature is the best template - a snoot can't be booped too much

Nope i have to pull the foam board out to open the left side hahaha.. PITA but solved the problem. I did a black sheet also and that gave them a better hiding place hahaha.. relentless little buggers.
