    Question Breeding Efficiency

Hello, I breed pet and feeder rats,I was hoping to get some advice from more experienced breeders. I am about to build 5 tier rat racks and was wondering which would be more efficient?
A 5 tier with 1:3 in each slot with separate grow out racks?
or A 5 tier rack with 1 male and 3 females in each slot moving the male down every 3 weeks so it staggers birth. [this one will still have grow out racks]

    P.s
I am more wanting to try to get more quality feeders over quantity. so keeping everyone healthy is #1 priority. I also breed pets and my feeders are not "flawed" they are pet quality but lack color, fail the temperament test, or just happen to be the right size for what I need.

also I'm using these tubs https://www.homedepot.com/p/Plasgad-...102C/205451585

Depends on how often you need Rats. If you are simply breeding for pets and can just keep them around as they grow until they sell, then you can just keep them 1:3 at all times. Personally, having 16 snakes, I need all sizes of rats every week. I stagged 2 males through 8 tubs (although for you it would be 1 through 3-5 tubs) that way I always have a new litter coming.

You will need to have one female rat per snake to be able to produce enough and have the perfect rotation going

As far as optimal rotation here you go https://ball-pythons.net/forums/show...-Many-to-Breed
