UPDATE!

Little no name girl ate I have had her since last Wednesday and been leaving her alone other then a quick peek a couple of times.

Today was feeding day so I presented her with a nice, warm FT rat pup. She took it and ate it quickly. She was on live up until now, so it was nice to see her not hesitating on FT.

I have to say, I haven't had a single one give me problems yet. All that I have purchased online and were shipped started eating F/T right away and without any fuss. Even though they were usually fed live at the breeders.

I think once they are established feeders and get set up correctly, it is a lot easier.

That's why I made sure that all the hatchlings I bred were completely and firmly established before re-homing them. That meant at least 2 sheds and 5 easy feedings. For some hatchlings that took longer then for others.

I never bred BPs but of the other kinds of snakes I bred (including rosy boas, corns, kings, various rat snakes, bull & gopher snakes) I always made sure they
had a strong feeding record too, before I let go of them...it's best for the snakes & best for the owners, & like you said, some do take longer than others, but
"that's life", at least they all got the best start I could give them. The rosy boas were the most inclined to want live pinks, so typically their feeding records were
at least 10 times so I knew they were reliable on f/t...never had any complaints, but by the time I feed snakes 10 times, I start to want to keep them all...

Such a good girl !!!

Ate another FT rat pup 2 days ago. This time she didn't strike, so I left it with her. Was gone an hour later

Today she is in deep blue, so fresh skin to come ! Another meal or 2 after that, and I will start short handling sessions and more pics !!
