corn island temperament?
So I am looking to purchase another snake in the next year. I am doing my best to narrow down my options. Corn islands have caught my eyes and I have found a reputable breeder that will be producing next season. For those of you that have experience with this local.. How is your corn islands temperament? Allow you to handle easily? Flighty? Obviously all snakes are individuals but I am curious as I havent been able to find too much information on handling.. Thanks!

I love the drastic colour changes these have on a daily basis from a light grey to an almost kaki green and the flushing is amazing.i think there great and not too big either
She's in a dark on phase on the photos but nicely fired up

Thank you! Exactly what I was looking for. You may have sealed the deal for me. Again, thank you. Max size for a female? 5-5.5 ft and a bit more of a slender build?

alright.. and thank you. I’ve been deciding between several of the island boas. I was torn between the hog and corn islands and i am leaning more and more toward corn as I do more research. I was told breeding season was between May and June-ish.. so I still have some time to research..

That is a great looking snake. I really don't think you can go wrong with any of the Island localities. I was doing quite a bit of research myself and kind of decided to look for the best little guy I could find. I actually just received a perfect little M Pure Hog Island for a local breeder here in FL. So far he is an awesome. Very inquisitive easy to handle and just amazing. If I can figure out how to post picture I will start a thread. I am just thrilled.

It’s a breeder that had some pure hogs on morph market. I messaged them and inquired, come to find out they produce corns as well. Both their hog and corn breeders are from Rio Bravo. Was listed as Sonja under morph market. Looks like a small independent breeder, which I like. Super excited and have put my name down for a female corn island if she produces any next season.

I looked at those snakes and that breeders page when I was investigating and I think you would get a great snake. In fact my Hog Island was from the other breeder listed on Morph Mart.
I got the M that was shown. My reason was based on the Breeder being here in FL for a very short shipping window. I seriously considered a Corn or a Crawl Island. The whole history behind the Island localities along with the great colors and temperament plus a little smaller size seems great.
